In choosing it, we relied on insights developed during consultations with experts, as well as through the design, prototyping, and testing of products using it.

This type of foam is characterized by high elasticity. It also has unique properties that provide excellent dynamics, enhancing the functionality of mattresses and pillows. Moreover, our foams ensure proper support for the body and spine, especially when sleeping on the side or back.

Advanced ventilation is made possible by the open-cell structure of the foams. It significantly differs from popular mattresses or pillows that mainly use memory foam, which can cause overheating and sweating for many users.

According to the results of sleep studies, as much as 93% of the human population sleeps on the back or side. After analyzing the Polish market, ONSEN® specialists came to the conclusion that in their opinion there is no orthopedic pillow that would be used to sleep in both positions while maintaining the physiological position of the spine.

This led our team consisting of doctors, physiotherapists, a psychologist, designers and technologists to create a universal, functional model of an orthopedic pillow. This model was then subjected to the prototyping process. After a long time spent testing prototypes and making necessary improvements, we managed to create designs for the best orthopedic pillows: Yoko, Asana, Enso and Hiro.

Each of the ONSEN® orthopedic pillows allows for a comfortable and healthy sleep on the side and on the back. They differ in their construction due to their adaptation to different types of silhouettes.

ONSEN® orthopedic pillows should be used both by people who do not experience any symptoms of diseases of the cervical spine, but attach great importance to prevention, as well as people suffering from abolished cervical lordosis, discopathy or spinal degeneration.

All orthopedic pillows, as well as pillowcases and sheets, are offered in the Skin+ version. The Skin+ textile material is an innovative product enriched with nanocapsules containing the patented probiotic Bacillus indicus PD01.

The action of the probiotic Bacillus indicus PD01 makes the skin elastic and has a proven anti-aging effect. Nanocapsules filled with the probiotic Bacillus indicus PD01 placed in the fibers of the textile material and open upon contact with the skin.

The effect of Bacillus indicus PD01 bacteria is the production of natural lycopene, which is a carotenoid. These, in turn, protect the skin from excessive sunlight, and at the same time maintain a greater level of hydration. In addition, its antioxidant properties help slow down the aging process of the skin.

Orthopedic pillows, pillowcases and sheets made in the Skin+ technology make the skin visibly smoother, rejuvenated and brighter. For many people, it acts as an anti-wrinkle cream. It solves the difficulties associated with excessive drying and flaking of the skin.

Nanocapsules with the probiotic Bacillus indicus PD01 persist in the Skin+ textile material for up to 20 washes at a temperature of up to 40°C.
