In this case, we are dealing with declension, in which -ów is added. Hence, the noun "materac" has a plural genitive form of materaców, just as "widelec" (fork) is declined as widelców in this form.

The form of declension as materacy is less common and is not as widely considered correct. Nevertheless, you may encounter its use, especially in informal speech. However, it's essential to remember that in writing, especially in formal contexts, it's better to use the more appropriate form of materaców, although both are acceptable.

In the case of the noun "materac," following the rules of the Polish language, the preferred and correct form is materaców. Although we may also come across the form materacy, it's advisable to adhere to language standards to maintain clarity and consistency in communication. Ultimately, it's understanding and respect for linguistic norms that enable us to communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Why did we choose mattresses?
