The Osaka Air is a highly elastic foam mattress with medium firmness (6.5 on the American mattress firmness scale) that is reinforced with viscoelastic foam. According to Polish criteria, it is classified as an H3 mattress (medium firmness).

It is made up of four layers of high-quality open-cell polyurethane foams HR and V, as well as an innovative Aero 3D mesh, which is part of an unprecedented moisture and heat dissipation system to the outside.

The unique construction of the foam mattress Osaka Air makes it the most functional mattress available on the market. It allows for free movement and changing body positions during sleep while maintaining optimal body support and spinal alignment in a natural position, as well as unrestricted air circulation between the body and the mattress surface. This highly functional highly elastic mattress was created based on the design thinking method with the involvement of high-class specialists.

The production of the Osaka Air mattress takes place entirely in Poland and is subject to rigorous quality control.

Depending on the selected mattress size, its width can range from 80 centimeters to 200 centimeters. ONSEN® offers the Osaka Air foam mattress in various standard sizes: 80x200, 90x200, 100x200, 120x200, 140x200, 160x200, 180x200, and 200x200*.

Due to the use of high-density and highest-quality foams in the mattresses, their weight exceeds that of most models available on the market and is as follows:

21 kilograms for the 90x200 mattress;
24 kilograms for the 100x200 mattress;
28 kilograms for the 120x200 mattress;

Mattress layers

All four layers of the Osaka Air foam mattress are made from the highest quality and also fully safe and hypoallergenic polyurethane foams with open cells.

HR30100 is a high-resilience foam with a density of approximately 30 kg/m3 and a firmness of about 100 N according to the ILD method and about 2.0 kPa according to the CLD method.
V50075 is a memory foam with a density of approximately 50 kg/m3 and a firmness of about 75 N according to the ILD method and about 1.5 kPa according to the CLD method.
HR35120 is a high-resilience foam with a density of 35 kg/m3 and a firmness of about 120 N according to the ILD method and about 2.4 kPa according to the CLD method.
HR50190 is a high-resilience foam Richlux® High Resilience HR50038 with a density of approximately 50 kg/m3 and a firmness of about 190 N according to the ILD method and about 3.8 kPa according to the CLD method.

In the HR35120 foam layer, there are transverse ventilation channels and an Aero 3D mesh built with microfilaments. In combination with the three-dimensional ventilation openings in the mattress cover, they create a system for removing excess heat and moisture from the mattress. This helps maintain proper air circulation, enhancing sleep comfort.

Bed frame

In contrast to many mattress manufacturers, ONSEN® does not recommend a specific type or model of mattress base. Instead, we advise that it be made of durable materials characterized by the appropriate width and thickness. These should be selected so that the mattress does not sink but is stably positioned on the base. At the same time, the spacing between the slats should allow for unrestricted air circulation.

ONSEN® offers free shipping for all orders delivered within the territory of the Republic of Poland, as well as extremely affordable shipping to countries within the European Union and the European Economic Area. Most orders are shipped within 48 hours of purchase.

ONSEN® offers up to 15 years warranty on its products! Warranty periods are as follows:

15 years for Osaka Air mattress core;
2 years for Osaka Air mattress cover;
10 years for orthopedic pillow cores;
2 years for classic pillow fillings;
2 years for pillowcases, bedding, sheets, furniture, and all other items.

The first layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress is made of high-resilience HR30100 foam with a thickness of 3 centimeters. The designation HR30100 means that this type of HR foam has a density of about 30 kg/m3 and hardness of approximately 100 N (about 2.0 kPa). It is a unique foam in a blue color, which is the official color of the ONSEN® brand.

The purpose of the first layer of the Osaka Air mattress is to provide the right dynamics and elasticity. It also offers optimal support for the body, especially the spine. Its use over memory foam is intentional and aims to avoid the sinking of the body during sleep while ensuring proper ventilation.

The second layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress is made of V5015 memory foam with a thickness of 4 centimeters. The designation V50075 means that this type of memory foam has a density of about 50 kg/m3 and hardness of approximately 75 N (about 1.5 kPa).

The purpose of the second layer of the Osaka Air mattress is to allow it to conform to the body by eliminating negative sensations related to body pressure on the mattress. It enables the proper distribution of weight accumulation points, promoting blood circulation and proper body regeneration at night. Placing it in the second layer of the mattress eliminates body suction into the mattress and sweating while allowing a change in sleeping position.

The fifth layer of the Osaka Air mattress is made of HR50190 high resilience foam with a thickness of 10 centimeters. It is the only foam in the mattress with a red color, known as Richlux® High Resilience HR50038.

Sweating at night is most often the result of sleeping on thermoelastic mattresses, also commonly known as memory mattresses. These are the mattresses whose first layer is memory foam, which is a specific type of polyurethane foam.

Only the second layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress consists of 4 centimeters of thermoelastic foam V4515. Due to the lack of direct contact with the sleeping person, it does not give the effect of a mirror reflection of heat and does not disturb the air circulation of the first layer of the mattress.

Especially in front of other people and under the observation of a convincing seller who uses his sales tricks on us.

Many studies say that at least about 30 nights are needed to assess the functionality of a mattress. The mattress cover used in the Osaka Air foam mattress is fully flexible. It is produced in a technology that ensures its multi-directionality, which translates into an even distribution of physical forces in many directions at the same time.

We made it from a fabric with a weight of 550 g/m2, which, combined with flexibility, makes it an extremely durable product. In addition, it is extremely pleasant to the touch, which is due to the use of a fabric with an appropriate weave.

Its side part is made of a unique mesh. Its use is an important element of a modern system of heat and moisture removal outside the mattress. It is also an element that distinguishes the Osaka Air foam mattress in visual terms.

The underside of the Osaka Air foam mattress cover is made of a material with a unique non-slip coating. Only safe, thoroughly tested polyurethane foams from the world's best manufacturers are used for the production of the Osaka Air mattress. They have safety certificates, and their foaming takes place in Poland.

The substrates for the production of polyurethane foams used by ONSEN® come from BASF Germany, which is one of the most respected producers in the world. At the same time, they are the best researched and most extensively tested polyurethane foams, which are characterized by the highest biological purity. Thus, their use is completely safe for health.

Although polyurethane foams from the People's Republic of China, which are used by most of the leading mattress manufacturers, would be much cheaper, they do not meet the stringent quality standards of ONSEN®. Therefore, the Osaka Air mattress is not the cheapest mattress. At the same time, the use of a low margin allows us to sell it at an affordable, fair price.

The work on the Osaka Air mattress lasted several years, during which we sought advice from people with extensive knowledge in the field of neurology, orthopedics, physiotherapy and psychology. In addition, we deepened our knowledge about the technology of materials from which we make ONSEN® products.

After several years of testing prototypes of the Osaka Air mattress by healthy people as well as people with various diseases, we have developed an optimal distribution of individual layers of the mattress. The result of our work is the creation of a mattress that provides the highest level of comfort, perfect body support and spine support, as well as the best ventilation on the market.

We have nothing to hide, which is why we do not use trade names of materials that we use to produce the Osaka Air mattress that are incomprehensible to customers, but their official designations. For this reason, we openly say that - for example - the lowest layer of our mattress is 10 centimeters thick and is made of open-cell, highly elastic HR foam with the designation HR4037. This means that it has a density of 40 kg/m3 and a hardness of 3.7 kPa.

We openly oppose the lack of transparency in determining the physical parameters of polyurethane foams used in mattresses. We are of the opinion that transparency in this matter is the duty of every mattress manufacturer. Although it is common practice to hide them and hide behind trade secrets, ONSEN® fulfills this obligation.

The universal firmness of the Osaka Air mattress allows you to sleep in all three positions: on your side, on your back and on your stomach.

Although in Poland the phenomenon of determining the hardness of a mattress as H1, H2, H3, H4 or even H5 still dominates, at ONSEN® we realize that the hardness of a mattress should be determined on a numerical scale. In addition, it should depend on the sleeping position, not the weight of the mattress user.

Looking at the US mattress firmness table based on sleeping position, the ideal mattress to sleep in any of the three positions is a mattress with a firmness of 6.5 - medium firm. This is the hardness we gave the Osaka Air mattress. Although we could present it in the Polish scale as an H3 mattress, we oppose its unscientific basis.

Safe for allergy sufferers!

For the production of the Osaka Air mattress, we use biologically clean materials that allow it to be easily kept clean. The textiles from which the mattress cover is made are hypoallergenic and can be washed.

In the production process of the Osaka Air mattress, we use only polyurethane foams and biologically clean textile materials. They have the appropriate certificates, including Oeko-Tex 100 Standard and CertiPUR.

The Osaka Air mattress cover is hypoallergenic yet very easy to clean. Thanks to this, you can get rid of possible allergens, including house dust mites.

In addition, it does not cause unpleasant situations that occur in other types of mattresses, such as the famous worms in a coconut and buckwheat mattress or the negative impact of a spring mattress on health.

Folded, not rolled up!

ONSEN® does not iron or roll its products. That's why the Osaka Air mattress is folded in half and then packed only on the day of shipment. In this form, it can be stored by the client for up to 6 months!

Many of our customers ask us not only about which mattress to choose, but also why it is important not to iron or roll the mattress. The answer to this question is very easy for ONSEN®.

A compressed and rolled mattress kept for many days in a cardboard box may have up to 35% of damaged foam cells. This shortens its service life by up to 50%! It often happens that a rolled mattress does not return to its original shape after opening the package. No wonder, because the presses used exert a pressure of over 10 tons on the mattresses!

The Osaka Air mattress offered by ONSEN® is packed only on the day of shipment. We do not roll it, but fold it in half, which distinguishes us from other manufacturers. Thanks to this, we protect its interior against degradation, which allows you to enjoy its properties.

Unlike compressed and rolled mattresses, the Osaka Air mattress can be used immediately after taking it out of the carton, and stored in the carton for up to 6 months without any damage to the polyurethane foams contained in it. Their quality parameters mean that they will retain their properties even after prolonged storage.

Can I really return the mattress before 100 days?

Yes! ONSEN® products, including mattresses, can be tested without restrictions in the comfort of your own bedroom for up to 100 days. During this time, you can return it to us and we will send the received money.

Is the Osaka Air mattress a thermoelastic mattress?

Yes and no. A traditional thermoelastic mattress has a layer of visco polyurethane foam, i.e. memory foam, as the first top layer. This causes the sleeping person to be sucked into the mattress. The result is overheating and sweating of the body, limiting movement and the ability to change the sleeping position. In the Osaka Air mattress, thermoelastic foam is the second layer. Thanks to this, we use its advantages, but we have eliminated its disadvantages!

Is the Osaka Air mattress for everyone?

Yes! The universal Osaka Air mattress is a highly elastic mattress with optimally selected hardness, density and thickness of individual layers. This mattress properly supports the body of every person and provides him with perfect support for the spine. It is not dependent on the weight of the user. It is a myth that a slim person should sleep on a soft mattress referred to as H1, and a heavier person on a hard mattress referred to as H4. The number of support points in these people is different, and in the end they exert pressure on the mattress in a very similar way.

Yes, you can. Your new Osaka Air mattress is ready to provide you with the highest sleeping comfort right after delivery as it is not rolled up. It can be stored in its packaging for up to 90 days.

Do I need to flip the Osaka Air mattress to extend its lifespan?
No, you don't. Your new Osaka Air mattress is one-sided. It has a properly designed layered construction that is responsible for its functionality. To extend the lifespan of the mattress, you can rotate it horizontally (head to foot) from time to time, which will allow you to enjoy it for longer than the warranty period (15 years).

Should I use a protector to protect the Osaka Air mattress from damage?
Your new Osaka Air mattress is equipped with a cover with a weight of 550 g/m2, as well as an additional protective material placed on the core of the mattress. It is enough to protect it with an ordinary sheet. The protector should be used only when necessary, e.g., when sleeping with a baby or in other situations that may cause excessive soiling.

Should I expect a certain adaptation period to the Osaka Air mattress?
Your new Osaka Air mattress is tailored to the human body structure. Usually, no adaptation time is needed. It may be necessary for people who have previously slept on an unhealthy, non-ergonomic surface. The duration of such adaptation is variable and usually does not exceed about a month. The rule is that the more inappropriate sleeping surface one had previously, the longer the adaptation time to sleeping in physiological positions may be.

Is the Osaka Air mattress a medical product?
Yes, it is. Your new Osaka Air mattress is a Class I medical device. It has properties that are beneficial to health. It works perfectly in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of spine diseases.

Does my mattress have any weight or height restrictions for users?
No. Your new Osaka Air mattress can be used by people of different weights and heights. The weight distribution points are proportionally spread over the surface of the body, which means that sleeping on it provides the same sensations to everyone.

On what bed frame can I use the Osaka Air mattress?
Your new Osaka Air mattress can be used on any surface. It is suitable for placement on both flexible frames and rigid ribbing. It can also be placed on pallets or a solid foundation. However, it is important that the surface is always even. It is also recommended that it has appropriate ventilation holes.

How do I clean the cover of the Osaka Air mattress?
Your new Osaka Air mattress comes with a removable cover that can be easily washed in an automatic washing machine. The top part of the cover is suitable for washing at 40°C using standard laundry detergents. The bottom part of the cover, which contains silicone threads, should be hand washed or washed on a program designed for delicate fabrics at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, as otherwise they may shrink.

How do I clean the foam core of the Osaka Air mattress?
Your new Osaka Air mattress is made of high-resilience (HR) and thermoelastic (V) foams, which should not be washed as it can damage their structure and make them difficult to dry. To maintain appropriate hygiene, it is recommended to frequently ventilate the mattress and periodically expose it to temperatures below 10°C, which helps to eliminate dust mites. Ozone treatment of the air in the bedroom also has a positive effect, which should be done using professional companies.

What are the recommendations for temperature and humidity in the bedroom when using the Osaka Air mattress?
Your new Osaka Air mattress does not require special conditions in the bedroom. It is designed for the variable atmospheric conditions that exist in Europe. It should not be exposed to extreme temperatures that are not normal in Europe. Because it contains thermoelastic foam in its second layer, its firmness may slightly vary depending on the temperature. It will be slightly firmer at low temperatures and softer at high temperatures.
