Mattress description

Osaka Air is the advanced ONSEN® foam mattress that combines stable spinal support, high elasticity and intensive ventilation all night long

Discover a new generation of sleep from the Polish manufacturer ONSEN®. Osaka Air is an innovative foam mattress for sleeping, designed for people who expect comfort, ergonomic support and effortless position changes throughout the night. Its multi-layer construction combines high-resilience (HR) foams of different densities and firmness levels with a carefully placed thermoelastic (memory) foam layer. As a result, the mattress adapts to the body without creating the sensation of deep sink-in or restricting movement.

Osaka Air is a medium-firm mattress, rated at about 6.5/10 on the American firmness scale. In the Polish system, it corresponds to H3, meaning medium firmness, chosen by people who need a stable surface without excessive stiffness. In practice, this means:
  • comfortable support in side, back and mixed sleeping positions;
  • spinal stabilization without the feeling of sleeping on a hard board;
  • easier position changes than on many mattresses made of classic memory foam.
This is a clear advantage over many traditional mattresses, which are either too soft and prone to sagging, or too firm and create pressure points.

The core of Osaka Air is built from four functional foam layers that work together to provide responsiveness, contouring and stability at the same time. The construction was developed to:
  • support the natural alignment of the spine during sleep;
  • reduce excessive pressure on shoulders, hips and the lower back;
  • prevent the sink-in effect typical of overly soft mattresses;
  • maintain the bounce needed to turn freely in bed.
Thanks to this, the Osaka Air foam mattress can be an excellent choice for people looking for a comfortable everyday mattress, without compromising between softness, support and durability.

Osaka Air uses a well-thought-out combination of materials, letting you benefit from the contouring associated with memory foam while limiting its typical drawbacks. The mattress features:
  • high-resilience HR foams for dynamic support;
  • a thermoelastic layer responsible for body contouring;
  • a layer layout that reduces the “stuck” feeling and overheating;
  • a construction that helps the mattress return to its original shape.
The result is a sleep mattress that blends comfort, flexibility and stability. It does not force one sleeping position, but supports the body as you naturally change positions during the night.

A key element of Osaka Air is mattress ventilation. It was designed for intensive airflow and effective moisture removal, helping maintain a fresh and hygienic sleep environment. The Aero 3D spacer mesh used in the cover supports air circulation, which can reduce overheating during sleep. In practice, this means:
  • better airflow inside and around the mattress;
  • more efficient removal of excess heat and moisture;
  • greater thermal comfort throughout the night;
  • hygienic sleep conditions, important for allergy sufferers as well.
That is why Osaka Air works well as a breathable mattress, and in the right cover variant also as an allergy-friendly mattress. It is for people who expect not only comfort, but also cleanliness, airflow and durability.

Osaka Air is a modern premium foam mattress that leverages:
  • the dynamic responsiveness of high-resilience HR foams;
  • body contouring delivered by a properly positioned thermoelastic layer;
  • a multi-layer structure that supports sleep ergonomics;
  • a ventilation system that improves thermal comfort.
The result is a combination of comfort, breathability and proper support that is difficult to achieve with randomly selected foam or spring mattresses.

The Osaka Air foam mattress is made in Poland, created based on:
  • evidence-based design, meaning design grounded in data;
  • design thinking methodology;
  • a jobs-to-be-done approach focused on real user needs;
  • quality control at every stage of production.
Every element of the Osaka Air mattress was designed to support recovery, improve sleep comfort and deliver long-lasting everyday convenience.

By choosing our Osaka Air foam mattress, you invest in:
  • ergonomic spinal support;
  • comfortable sleep without the sink-in effect;
  • excellent mattress ventilation;
  • durability and quality of Polish manufacturing;
  • a fair price without middleman markups.
Choose the ONSEN® Osaka Air foam mattress - combining modern sleep technology, comfort and stable support from the very first night.

ONSEN® mattresses are offered exclusively via direct sales. You will not find our products through any intermediaries. Choose an original ONSEN® sleep mattress to enjoy healthy, comfortable and consciously engineered sleep.

Dimensions of the mattress

ONSEN® manufactures the Osaka Air foam mattress in many standard sizes, matched to the most commonly chosen single, double and family beds.

The length of the Osaka Air mattress is 200 centimeters.

The width of the Osaka Air mattress ranges from 80 to 200 centimeters, depending on the selected variant.

The height of the Osaka Air mattress is 21 centimeters.

Standard sizes of the Osaka Air foam mattress include:

  • 80x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 90x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 100x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 120x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 140x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 160x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 180x200 centimeter mattress;
  • 200x200 centimeter mattress.

Because it uses high-density high-resilience foams, Osaka Air weighs more than many standard foam mattresses available in stores. The higher weight is a natural result of a solid, multi-layer construction, which contributes to stability, durability and everyday comfort.

The weight of the Osaka Air mattress is:

  • 80x200 mattress - 18 kilograms;
  • 90x200 mattress - 21 kilograms;
  • 100x200 mattress - 24 kilograms;
  • 120x200 mattress - 28 kilograms;
  • 140x200 mattress - 33 kilograms;
  • 160x200 mattress - 37 kilograms;
  • 180x200 mattress - 41 kilograms;
  • 200x200 mattress - 45 kilograms.

ONSEN® also makes made-to-measure mattresses, prepared according to an individual customer order. For pricing of a non-standard mattress, we encourage you to contact us by phone or email.

Please remember that mattresses in sizes other than the standard ones, meaning those not listed above, are products made to an individual order. For this reason, they are not eligible for returns under the rules applicable to standard products.

The specifics of the manufacturing process and the properties of the foams used may cause slight differences in the actual dimensions or weight of individual units. Such production tolerances do not affect the quality, functionality or sleeping comfort of the Osaka Air mattress.

+

Made-to-measure mattress

We understand that not every bedroom, bed frame or user need fits standard mattress sizes. That is why ONSEN® offers a made-to-order mattress, meaning a non-standard size mattress prepared according to the dimensions provided by the customer.

Making a non-standard mattress requires additional production work. We need to prepare the mattress core individually, adjust its format and sew the cover to the exact dimensions. For this reason, the lead time for a made-to-order mattress is usually 2-3 weeks.

The pricing rules for made-to-order mattresses are simple and transparent. The price of a non-standard size is calculated based on the price of the nearest larger standard size. Discount codes, promotions and any other price reductions do not apply to made-to-order mattresses:
  • width 60-79 cm → price as for 80x200;
  • width 81-89 cm → price as for 90x200;
  • width 91-99 cm → price as for 100x200;
  • width 101-119 cm → price as for 120x200;
  • width 121-139 cm → price as for 140x200;
  • width 141-159 cm → price as for 160x200;
  • width 161-179 cm → price as for 180x200;
  • width 181-199 cm → price as for 200x200;
  • width 201-220 cm → price as for 200x200 + PLN 500 or + EUR 120.

The length of a made-to-order mattress can be from 180 cm to 220 cm. When buying a mattress with a non-standard width, we do not charge an additional fee for extending the mattress within this range.

How to place an order for a non-standard mattress?

  1. Add to your cart the mattress in the nearest larger standard size. Example: when ordering a 130x210 mattress, choose the 140x200 mattress.
  2. In the order comment field in the cart, enter the required mattress dimensions.
  3. Pay for the order without using discount codes, promotions or any other price reductions.

Non-standard size mattresses are made to an individual customer specification. This means they are not eligible for promotions and cannot be returned under the rules applicable to standard products.

Mattress layers

All four layers of the Osaka Air foam mattress are made from safe, hypoallergenic foams with an open-cell structure. It is this well-engineered combination that delivers responsiveness, stable support, body contouring and effective mattress ventilation.

The Osaka Air core consists of four functional layers:
  • HR30100 - high-resilience HR foam with a density of approx. 30 kg/m³, firmness of approx. 100 N (ILD method) and approx. 2.0 kPa (CLD method). Provides a springy, comfortable feel and makes it easier to change positions freely during sleep.
  • V50075 - thermoelastic foam with a density of approx. 50 kg/m³, firmness of approx. 75 N (ILD method) and approx. 1.5 kPa (CLD method). Supports body contouring and reduces pressure points without the effect of excessive sink-in.
  • HR35120 - high-resilience HR foam with a density of approx. 35 kg/m³, firmness of approx. 120 N (ILD method) and approx. 2.4 kPa (CLD method). Stabilizes the body, supports proper spinal alignment, and includes transverse ventilation channels.
  • HR50160 - high-resilience foam Richlux® High Resilience HR50038 with a density of approx. 50 kg/m³, firmness of approx. 160 N (ILD method) and approx. 3.8 kPa (CLD method). Forms the stable load-bearing layer, increasing durability, resistance to deformation, and the overall quality of support.
Within the HR35120 layer there are transverse ventilation channels and an Aero 3D spacer mesh made of microfilaments. Together with the three-dimensional ventilation openings in the cover, they create a system that channels excess heat and moisture out of the mattress.

Thanks to this, the Osaka Air foam mattress maintains proper airflow, reduces overheating and supports a hygienic sleep environment. This is especially important for people looking for a breathable mattress, an allergy-friendly mattress, and a comfortable mattress for everyday recovery.
+

Bed slats for the mattress

Unlike many manufacturers, the Polish brand ONSEN® does not impose one specific type of slatted base or a particular bed model. The Osaka Air mattress was designed to work well with different kinds of support. What matters most, however, is that the mattress base is stable, sufficiently dense and matched to the mattress size.

A well-chosen base affects not only sleep comfort, but also mattress durability, proper body support and air circulation. A structure that is too weak, slats that are too thin, or gaps that are too wide can cause the mattress to sag, reduce ergonomics and accelerate wear of the core. This applies to any mattress, regardless of its type, price or manufacturer.

Osaka Air can be used on a rigid slatted base, a flexible slatted base, a continental (boxspring) bed, or a stable pallet construction, provided the surface offers adequate support and does not allow excessive bending.

For the mattress to perform properly, the proportions of slats and the gaps between them are key:
  • with wide slats (5-7 cm), at least 17-18 slats are recommended and the gaps should not exceed 4 cm;
  • with narrow slats (3-4 cm), at least 19-20 slats are recommended and the gaps should not exceed 3 cm;
  • very narrow, thin or widely spaced slats, typical of low-quality bases, are not recommended;
  • the mattress should extend at least 10 cm above the bed frame to keep the bed comfortable and safe to use.
If you use a bed with two separate electric adjustable bases, the best solution is to choose two separate mattresses. One large mattress placed on two independently operating electric bases may bend unevenly, which reduces comfort and can negatively affect durability.

A rigid base provides stable support and good ventilation, as long as it is made from sufficiently strong slats arranged with the correct spacing. This is a good choice for people who prefer a more stable feel while sleeping.

A flexible slatted base can add a bit more bounce and dynamism. For some users, including seniors, this may make it easier to change position and get out of bed, especially when the bed frame is at the right height.

A continental (boxspring) bed usually offers high stability and firm support. It is worth paying attention to ventilation, however, as some boxspring designs can restrict airflow under the mattress.

Pallets as a mattress base can provide stable, firm support, but they should be smooth, clean, dry and arranged so they do not damage the cover or the mattress core. They are not the best option for people with limited mobility, because they typically sit low to the floor.

Thanks to its multi-layer construction, responsiveness and ventilation system, the Osaka Air foam mattress performs well on many types of support. The condition is a stable, even and breathable base that helps maintain sleep comfort, ergonomic spinal support and long-term durability for years to come.

Who is the Osaka Air foam mattress for?

The Osaka Air foam mattress is a universal sleeping mattress for anyone looking for stable, flexible, and comfortable body support. It has been designed to work well for users with various needs, including different sleeping positions and expectations from a mattress.

The Osaka Air mattress is an original project of the Polish company ONSEN®, created from scratch by our team as a unique response to the real needs of users. It is not a copy of a ready-made solution or a standard mattress from a component catalog, but an exceptional construction combining four carefully designed foam layers, the Aero 3D ventilation system, and ergonomics designed for comfortable sleep. As a result, the Osaka Air stands out on the market, offering a solution you will not find from other manufacturers.

Created by ONSEN®, the Osaka Air foam mattress is an innovative and functional mattress designed to provide high sleep comfort over many years of use. Its medium firmness, rated at approximately 6.5/10 on the American firmness scale, makes it a true H3 mattress according to Polish tables. This makes the Osaka Air mattress a great choice for people who need stable yet flexible support.

Our innovative Osaka Air mattress is built with four layers of high-quality foams responsible for durability, resilience, and comfort. The thermoelastic foam (memory foam) used in the second layer supports body contouring and the reduction of pressure points. However, because a layer of highly elastic HR foam is placed above it, it does not cause a sinking effect or overheating, nor does it create difficulties in changing positions. The carefully thought-out construction of the Osaka Air mattress allows for comfortable adaptation to the body and excellent pressure relief during sleep.

What also distinguishes the Osaka Air foam mattress is the Aero 3D mesh, which, together with a modern cover, creates a system for wicking away moisture and excess heat. Thanks to this, the mattress supports proper air circulation throughout the night, reducing overheating and improving sleep hygiene. The unique design of the Osaka Air mattress ensures optimal spinal support, helping to maintain a healthy posture during sleep while simultaneously allowing for free movement and repositioning.

This mattress is:

  • for side, back, and stomach sleepers,
  • for people who frequently change positions during sleep,
  • for people looking for a universal H3 mattress,
  • for couples with different needs and preferences,
  • for people who want stable support without the "hard board" effect,
  • for people who dislike sinking into classic memory foam.

Choose the Osaka Air mattress if you:

  • want a mattress perfect for one person, a couple, or more people,
  • are looking for a medium-firm mattress with a firmness rating of about 6.5/10,
  • need stable spinal support,
  • value flexibility and unrestricted position changes,
  • want to reduce pressure points on your shoulders, hips, and back,
  • tend to overheat on traditional foam mattresses,
  • are looking for a durable mattress manufactured in Poland.

The design process of the Osaka Air mattress was based on the design thinking method and the jobs-to-be-done approach, meaning the analysis of real user needs. The production of Osaka Air mattresses takes place in Poland and is subject to strict quality control, allowing us to maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, production repeatability, and the durability of every unit.

For one person, an 80x200, 90x200, or 100x200 mattress is most often chosen. For a couple, 160x200 is usually the safest choice, while 180x200 and 200x200 sizes provide greater comfort. If the bedroom is small, 140x200 can be a good compromise. If you sleep restlessly, change positions frequently, or share the bed with a child or a pet, choose the largest possible size.
Custom-size Osaka Air mattress
If you need a non-standard size, ONSEN® can make a custom-size Osaka Air mattress to order. This applies exclusively to the Osaka Air model. The Osaka GRID™ mattress is available only in selected standard sizes and is not made to measure.

Custom-size Osaka Air mattresses are priced according to the nearest larger standard size. The length of a custom mattress can range from 180 cm to 220 cm. To order a custom mattress, add the nearest larger Osaka Air size to your cart and enter the expected dimensions in the order comments.

Custom-made mattresses are not subject to promotions or the return policy provided for standard products.
The table helps you choose the size of the Osaka Air or Osaka GRID™ mattress. It compares sizes 80x200, 90x200, 100x200, 120x200, 140x200, 160x200, 180x200, and 200x200 and indicates for whom a given mattress size will be best. It also informs that custom-size mattresses are available exclusively for the Osaka Air model, and the Osaka GRID™ is not made to individual order.

HR30100 | 3cm
open-cell high-resilience foam
The first layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress is made of high-resilience HR30100 foam with a thickness of 3 centimeters. The designation HR30100 means that this type of HR foam has a density of about 30 kg/m3 and hardness of approximately 100 N (about 2.0 kPa). It is a unique foam in a blue color, which is the official color of the ONSEN® brand.

The purpose of the first layer of the Osaka Air mattress is to provide the right dynamics and elasticity. It also offers optimal support for the body, especially the spine. Its use over memory foam is intentional and aims to avoid the sinking of the body during sleep while ensuring proper ventilation.
V50075 | 4cm
Thermoelastic foam (memory foam)
The second layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress is made of V5015 memory foam with a thickness of 4 centimeters. The designation V50075 means that this type of memory foam has a density of about 50 kg/m3 and hardness of approximately 75 N (about 1.5 kPa).

The purpose of the second layer of the Osaka Air mattress is to allow it to conform to the body by eliminating negative sensations related to body pressure on the mattress. It enables the proper distribution of weight accumulation points, promoting blood circulation and proper body regeneration at night. Placing it in the second layer of the mattress eliminates body suction into the mattress and sweating while allowing a change in sleeping position.
Aero 3D | 1cm
microfilament ventilation mesh
The Osaka Air mattress features a specialized Aero 3D mesh layer, approximately 1 centimeter thick, placed between the third and fourth layers of the mattress. The mesh is made up of thousands of microfilaments that allow for full air circulation and are resistant to compression.

The purpose of the Aero 3D mesh is to provide a unique level of ventilation for the mattress that is not commonly found in other mattresses on the Polish market. Its innovative construction ensures an unprecedented level of air circulation in the mattress, which cannot be achieved by simple ventilation holes or channels alone. This layer helps to remove excess air and moisture from the mattress, significantly increasing its hygiene.
HR35120 | 4cm
Highly elastic open-cell foam
The fourth layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress is made of HR35120 high resilience foam with a thickness of 4 centimeters. The designation HR35120 means that this type of HR foam has a density of about 35 kg/m3 and hardness of approximately 120 N (about 3.0 kPa).

The purpose of the fourth layer of the Osaka Air mattress is to support the layers above. It is also responsible for enhancing its elasticity and hardness, as well as providing a smooth transition to the lower layers. This layer contains a system of cross-ventilation channels that work in conjunction with the Aero 3D mesh and breathable cover, creating a cohesive mattress ventilation system.
HR50160 | 10cm
open-cell high-resilience foam
The top layer of the Osaka Air mattress is made of high-resilience HR50160 foam, 10 centimeters thick. The HR50160 designation indicates that this type of HR foam has a density of around 50 kg/m3 and a hardness of approximately 160 N (about 3.8 kPa). This is the Richlux® High Resilience HR50038 foam, the only red-colored foam in the mattress.

The purpose of this layer in the Osaka Air mattress is to ensure stability across its entire surface. This is especially important when the mattress is used on continental beds or on structures that aren’t traditional beds. It also matters if two people sleeping on the mattress have different body weights, as it prevents the lighter person from being pulled toward the heavier one.
Air circulation
Air circulation in the Osaka Air foam mattress reduces difficulties associated with overheating and sweating during sleep. This is made possible by a specially designed ventilation system, which consists of an innovative cover, Aero 3D mesh, and cross-circulation channels. Thanks to them, it is possible to remove heat and moisture from the mattress.

Why choose the Osaka Air foam mattress?

The Osaka Air is a foam mattress for sleeping that combines stable spinal support, high elasticity, effective ventilation, and the comfort of daily regeneration. It was designed as a universal H3 medium-firm mattress, suitable for side, back, and stomach sleepers, as well as those who frequently change positions at night. It is a practical choice if you value ergonomics, durability, breathability, and comfort without the trapping effect typical of many classic memory foam mattresses.

Key benefits of the Osaka Air foam mattress

  • Ergonomic spinal support - the multi-layer construction helps maintain the natural alignment of the body during sleep.
  • Universal firmness - a medium firmness of about 6.5/10 provides stable yet flexible support.
  • Four layers of high-quality foams - highly elastic HR foams and a properly positioned thermoelastic (memory) foam support comfort and durability.
  • No trapping effect - the Osaka Air mattress adapts to the body but facilitates easy position changes.
  • Better ventilation - ventilation channels, Aero 3D mesh, and a breathable cover support air circulation within the mattress.
  • Polish ONSEN® production - the mattress is manufactured in Poland and is an original design by the ONSEN® brand.

What does the Osaka Air mattress offer in practice?

  • Ergonomic body support: Osaka Air acts as a modern mattress for the spine because it supports the natural alignment of the body during sleep. Its design helps reduce excessive sinking of the hips, shoulders, and lumbar region, which is crucial for back comfort and the quality of regeneration.

  • Comfort without the sinking effect: The use of thermoelastic foam in the second layer allows for body contouring and the reduction of pressure points. At the same time, the top layer of highly elastic HR foam minimizes the trapping effect, meaning the mattress does not restrict movement and allows for easy position changes during sleep.

  • Universal H3 firmness: The Osaka Air mattress has a medium firmness rated at approximately 6.5/10 on the American firmness scale. Assuming the H3 designation refers to a medium-firm mattress, Osaka Air is a true H3 mattress. However, it is worth noting that the H1-H4 scale is not standardized in Poland, which means an H3 mattress from one manufacturer can differ significantly from an H3 mattress from another brand. At ONSEN®, we consistently advocate for the creation of national standards for mattress firmness ratings, so customers can compare products fairly and clearly.

  • More airflow during sleep: The ventilation system, based on foam channels, Aero 3D mesh, and three-dimensional pores in the cover, supports the dissipation of excess heat and moisture. Because of this, the Osaka Air foam mattress reduces overheating and helps maintain a fresh, hygienic sleep environment.

  • Durability for years: The four layers of high-quality foams have been selected to ensure resilience, stability, and resistance to deformation. Osaka Air is a mattress built for daily use over many years, not a random product from a catalog of ready-made solutions.

  • Original ONSEN® design: The Osaka Air mattress was designed from scratch by ONSEN® using design thinking and the jobs-to-be-done approach. It is a unique construction created in response to the real needs of users: comfort, support, breathability, durability, and freedom of movement during sleep.

A perfectly breathable mattress This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a breathable sleeping mattress with a ventilation system, Aero 3D mesh, and a design that reduces overheating during sleep.

01
Introduction to the feature: the breathable Osaka Air foam mattress

The Osaka Air foam mattress stands out with its original layered construction, which supports maximum air circulation throughout the night. As a result, it reduces body overheating, helps wick away moisture, and improves sleep comfort without feeling stuffy.

How does the Osaka Air ensure breathability and thermal comfort? This section describes how the Osaka Air foam mattress reduces overheating, supports moisture wicking, and ensures air circulation thanks to HR30100 foam, V50075 foam, ventilation channels, Aero 3D mesh, and a breathable cover.

Consumer research and everyday user experiences show that one of the most common sleep problems is body overheating and excessive night sweats. This is particularly important because thermal comfort affects not only coziness but also the quality of regeneration.

This problem often affects thermoelastic mattresses, also known as memory foam mattresses. Their top layer of memory foam can excessively trap heat, especially when it is located directly beneath the user's body.

One of the biggest drawbacks of a classic memory foam mattress is the heat reflection effect. It occurs when the foam absorbs body heat and then radiates it back toward the sleeper, increasing the perceived temperature during sleep.

Moreover, many memory foam mattresses fail to provide adequate air circulation. This is due to the low dynamics of the material and the restricted airflow caused by temperature, pressure, and the foam contouring closely to the silhouette.

The Osaka Air foam mattress was designed to effectively reduce the problem of nighttime overheating. Its well-thought-out construction, developed through a design thinking process and the jobs-to-be-done approach, responds to the real need for a fresh, breathable, and comfortable sleep.

The first layer of the Osaka Air mattress consists of a 3-centimeter highly elastic HR30100 foam. Its open-cell structure supports free airflow, while the appropriate density and firmness provide stable body support without the sinking effect.

It is the second layer that consists of a 4-centimeter thermoelastic V50075 foam. Because it is not placed directly next to the body, it can contour to the silhouette and reduce pressure points without causing the trapping effect or excessive heating typical of many memory mattresses.

The use of V50075 thermoelastic foam in the second layer combines adaptive comfort with greater freedom of movement. Unlike classic thermoelastic mattresses, the Osaka Air does not restrict position changes but rather supports natural body alignment and comfortable sleep throughout the night.

An additional advantage of the Osaka Air mattress is its advanced ventilation system. It consists of transverse ventilation channels, a modern Aero 3D mesh made of thousands of microfilaments, and a thoughtfully designed cover that promotes airflow.

A crucial role is also played by the mattress cover, which works together with the ventilation channels and the Aero 3D mesh. As a result, excess heat and moisture can be dissipated outward more effectively, keeping the sleep surface fresher and more pleasant.

Thanks to these solutions, the Osaka Air foam mattress effectively supports the dissipation of excess heat and moisture, ensuring extremely high breathability all night long. This is why the Osaka Air is the go-to choice for those looking for a modern bedroom mattress that combines ergonomics, ventilation, and the comfort of daily regeneration.

100-day mattress return policy This section presents the 100-day return policy for the Osaka Air mattress and explains why testing a mattress at home is more reliable than a quick test in a physical store.

02
Introduction to the feature: 100-day return policy for the Osaka Air mattress

At ONSEN®, we give you the option to return the Osaka Air mattress for up to 100 days from delivery. You can sleep on the mattress normally, test it in your own bedroom, and make your decision without pressure. In the event of a return, you will receive a full refund with no fees charged for testing.

Expand

Why is it best to test the Osaka Air mattress at home? This section describes the rules for the at-home sleep trial of the Osaka Air mattress, the 100-day return policy, the limitations of in-store mattress testing, and the benefits of ONSEN's direct-to-consumer model.

We know that testing a mattress in a store is unreliable, which is why we give you time to calmly evaluate it at home. A mattress is a crucial product for your health, regeneration, and sleep quality, and its comfort can only be reliably assessed during normal use, under everyday resting conditions.

Lying down on a mattress for a few minutes in a physical showroom does not show how your body will react after a full night's sleep. It is difficult to assess mattress comfort while fully dressed, fully conscious, in an artificial environment, and under the observation of salespeople and other customers.

That is exactly why ONSEN® allows you to test the Osaka Air mattress in your own bedroom. That is where you truly sleep, change positions, rest, wake up in the morning, and can honestly verify whether the mattress provides the right support, coziness, and thermal comfort.

A reliable assessment of mattress comfort requires many nights, as your body needs time to adjust to the new support. That is why you shouldn't make a decision after a few-minute test or even after just one night. A mattress should be evaluated over time, considering we spend about 1/3 of our lives sleeping.

Buying a mattress is an important decision, which is why you can test the Osaka Air mattress at home without rushing and without pressure from a salesperson. We give you up to 100 days so that your decision to keep the product is conscious, calm, and based on your real sleep experience.

Sleep on the mattress, rest, read books, work on your laptop, let your children use the bed, and let your pets lounge next to you. Use the mattress exactly as you intend to use it for the years to come. Only then will you know if the Osaka Air is the right choice for you.

ONSEN® exposes the unfair practices used by many mattress sellers who suggest that a few minutes in a store is enough to make an informed choice. In our opinion, a true mattress test takes place at home, night after night, in natural sleep conditions.

This is why we offer mattresses online in a direct-to-consumer sales model, avoiding high middleman margins. Physical sales take place exclusively in our company showroom at the ONSEN® headquarters. This model allows us to maintain a fair price, offer direct contact with the manufacturer, and provide the genuine opportunity to test the mattress in your own bedroom.

A mattress for the whole family This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a universal family mattress, suitable for various sleep positions, different body types, and users with diverse needs.

03
Introduction to the feature: Osaka Air mattress for the whole family

The Osaka Air foam mattress is a universal mattress for the whole family, regardless of your preferred sleep position. Thanks to its high elasticity, it does not hinder changing positions at night, ensuring freedom of movement, stable support, and comfort for users of various body types.

Expand

Why is the Osaka Air suitable for various users? This expanded section describes why the Osaka Air foam mattress is a good choice for families, couples, and people of various body types. It explains the importance of the first HR30100 layer, the second V50075 layer, freedom to change positions, stable support, motion isolation, and comfort without the sinking effect.

Using highly elastic HR30100 foam in the first layer of the Osaka Air mattress, and placing the thermoelastic V50075 foam in the second layer, allows for complete freedom when changing sleep positions. This is crucial for children, adults, seniors, and couples who have different needs and resting styles.

Many users of thermoelastic mattresses complain about a sinking or trapping effect, which makes turning and changing positions difficult. This results from the properties of memory foam, which softens under the influence of temperature and body pressure, and then returns to its original shape much more slowly.

Although this effect is initially perceived as a pleasant hug, in practice it can limit sleep comfort. A body surrounded by sunken memory foam has less freedom of movement, and restricted air circulation can lead to overheating and more frequent awakenings.

Placing thermoelastic foam directly in the top layer of a mattress can be particularly problematic for older adults, people with limited mobility, and users who frequently change positions. Sinking too deeply can make getting up, turning over, and maintaining stable body alignment difficult.

Moving the V50075 thermoelastic foam to the second layer helped to mitigate these problems. The Osaka Air mattress retains the benefits of contouring foams but simultaneously provides a more dynamic sleep surface, without the feeling of being trapped in the mattress.

As a result, the Osaka Air works perfectly as a mattress for couples, a family mattress, and an everyday sleeping mattress. It supports the comfort of side, back, and stomach sleepers, as well as those who change positions multiple times during the night.

The innovative layered construction of the Osaka Air mattress ensures high dynamics, stable support, and excellent motion isolation. This means that the movement of one person is less felt by the other, increasing the sleep comfort of a partner, child, or another household member sleeping nearby.

The Osaka Air is also an intimacy-friendly mattress, as its resilience, stability, and quick response to movement ensure that it does not restrict natural activity in bed. It is a functional choice for those who want one mattress for sleep, rest, regeneration, and everyday family life.

Ideal spinal support This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a mattress providing ergonomic spinal support, physiological body alignment, and pressure point reduction during sleep.

04
Introduction to the feature: ideal spinal support by the Osaka Air mattress

Each layer of the Osaka Air foam mattress has been designed with a specific function in mind, in line with the jobs to be done approach. Their precise combination supports comfortable sleep, proper spinal alignment, and stable body support in various sleep positions.

Expand

How does the Osaka Air support the spine during sleep? This expanded section describes how the Osaka Air foam mattress supports the spine, hips, shoulders, and limbs thanks to four foam layers, appropriate firmness, density, resilience, and the combination of HR and V foams.

In the unapologetically perfect Osaka Air mattress, we applied the jobs to be done methodology because the most important thing is not the mattress as an object, but the task it is supposed to perform for the user. It is meant to support sleep, regeneration, comfort, and proper spinal support every single night.

We do not buy a mattress just to have one, but to sleep better, regenerate more easily, and wake up without unnecessary tension. A good sleeping mattress should support the body, minimize negative sensations, and help maintain a comfortable position throughout the night.

Thanks to a well-chosen, functional mattress, sleep comfort and the quality of everyday rest improve. Body alignment during sleep is of key importance because the spine, hips, shoulders, and limbs should be supported in a stable, but not overly rigid manner.

The layers of the Osaka Air foam mattress have been designed to work together and provide ergonomic support. The carefully selected firmness, density, and resilience of the foams help distribute body weight evenly and reduce points of excessive pressure.

In practice, this means that the body does not randomly sink deep into the mattress, but receives stable support exactly where it is needed. Thanks to this, the spine can remain in a more physiological alignment, regardless of whether you sleep on your side, back, stomach, or change positions frequently.

The unique construction of the Osaka Air foam mattress combines the advantages of highly elastic HR foams and properly placed thermoelastic V foam. This combination allows for body contouring, pressure reduction, and stability, without the deep sinking effect typical of many memory foam mattresses.

This is exactly why the Osaka Air is a good choice for people looking for a mattress for spinal support, an H3 medium-firm mattress, and a foam mattress that provides comfort without compromising between softness and stable support. Its task is to support the body, not to force a single, artificial sleep position.

The unapologetically perfect Osaka Air mattress possesses the key features of an ideal mattress: ergonomic support, elasticity, breathability, stability, durability, and the freedom to change positions. It is also an orthopedic mattress, registered in EUDAMED as a Class I medical device.

A full 15-year mattress warranty This section presents the warranty for the Osaka Air foam mattress, including a 15-year warranty on the mattress core and a 2-year warranty on the mattress cover.

05
Introduction to the feature: 15-year warranty on the Osaka Air mattress

ONSEN® offers a full 15-year warranty on the Osaka Air foam mattress core and a 2-year warranty on its cover. Clear and transparent warranty terms demonstrate that the Osaka Air is a durable mattress designed for many years of everyday use.

Expand

What does the ONSEN® warranty cover? This section details the ONSEN warranty periods, including a 15-year warranty on the Osaka Air mattress core, a 2-year warranty on the cover, mattress durability, foam quality, and the importance of hygienic mattress replacement after many years of use.

ONSEN®'s mission is to offer products of the highest quality that retain their properties and serve you for many years. That is why we design mattresses, pillows, and other products responsibly, keeping durability, functionality, and the real needs of users in mind.

Equally important to us is an ethical approach to complaints, returns, and after-sales service. We believe that consumer rights are too often limited by unclear clauses, fine print, and difficult procedures, which is why at ONSEN® we focus on transparent rules.

To meet customer expectations and with full confidence in the durability of our products, we offer long warranty periods. In the case of the Osaka Air foam mattress, the most important is the warranty covering its core, which is responsible for support, resilience, and sleep comfort.

Our warranty periods include:

  • 15 years on the Osaka Air mattress core;
  • 2 years on the Osaka GRID™ mattress core;
  • 10 years on the cores of Asana, Enso, and Hiro orthopedic pillows;
  • 2 years on the cores of Asana GRID™, Enso GRID™, and Hiro GRID™ orthopedic pillows;
  • 2 years on the filling of classic pillows;
  • 2 years on mattress covers;
  • 2 years on pillowcases;
  • 2 years on bed linen;
  • 2 years on bed sheets;
  • 2 years on mattress protectors;
  • 2 years on furniture;
  • 2 years on all other products.

The 15-year warranty period for the Osaka Air mattress core is no coincidence. It is a timeframe that reflects the high durability of the foams used and the design assumptions of a mattress intended for long-term, everyday home use.

The Osaka Air mattress core is made of high-quality foams with carefully selected density, firmness, and resilience. As a result, the mattress can retain its performance properties for years, including stable body support, elasticity, comfort, and resistance to typical deformations.

Mattress durability is also influenced by proper use. It is important to use a suitable bed frame, ensure proper ventilation, regularly care for the cover, and use the mattress in accordance with the user manual. This approach helps maintain sleep comfort over a long time.

The Osaka Air mattress we offer can still retain its shape and properties after the 15-year warranty period if it has been properly used and cared for. At the same time, after such a long period, replacing the mattress is a reasonable decision for hygienic reasons.

Therefore, the 15-year warranty on the Osaka Air mattress core is not only a declaration of quality but also a clear signal that ONSEN® creates products with a long-term perspective in mind. It is a guarantee for those who want to buy a durable foam mattress, use it for years, and have the peace of mind that the manufacturer takes full responsibility for its solutions.

Two covers for the perfect mattress This section presents two covers available for the Osaka Air foam mattress: the PREMIUM cover and the CURE™ cover, their properties, elasticity, breathability, anti-slip coating, and washability.

06
Introduction to the feature: two covers available for the Osaka Air mattress

When choosing the size of the Osaka Air mattress, you can also decide on the type of cover included in the set. Two variants are available: PREMIUM and CURE™. Both feature an anti-slip coating, high elasticity, and a design that supports comfort and mattress ventilation.

Expand
How do the PREMIUM and CURE™ covers differ? This expanded section describes the PREMIUM and CURE™ covers for the Osaka Air mattress, their intended use, 550 g/m2 material, breathability, elasticity, side ventilation panels, anti-slip bottom, zipper, and washability.

The PREMIUM cover is the best choice for those who value comfort, elasticity, and excellent breathability. Its structure supports air circulation, helps wick away moisture, and allows you to fully benefit from the ventilation properties of the Osaka Air mattress.

The CURE™ cover was created for people who expect additional support for sleep hygiene. The CURE™ technology uses nanocapsules with probiotics that help neutralize allergens, making it a particularly good choice for allergy sufferers and those who care about a cleaner sleep environment.

All Osaka Air mattresses are equipped with a functional mattress cover, designed by specialists collaborating with ONSEN®. Its construction was developed to support durability, ease of use, mattress stability, and everyday sleep comfort.

Each cover for the Osaka Air mattress works in tandem with the layered structure of the core, without limiting its elasticity. Thanks to the multi-directional stretch of the material, it helps to evenly distribute physical forces, which is important for the comfort of couples and people who frequently change positions during sleep.

We manufacture the covers from a modern fabric with a weight of 550 g/m². The material combines high elasticity, durability, and a pleasant-to-touch texture, while its appropriate weave supports airflow and helps maintain a comfortable sleep surface for a long time.

The side panels of the cover are made of a unique ventilation mesh, which is an important element of the system for dissipating heat and moisture outside the mattress. This solution supports the breathability of the Osaka Air mattress, while simultaneously distinguishing it aesthetically from classic foam mattresses.

The bottom part of the mattress covers is coated with a special anti-slip layer. It helps to reduce the mattress from shifting on the slat base, bed frame, or other stable surfaces, increasing safety, convenience, and comfort of everyday use.

Every Osaka Air mattress cover is equipped with a practical zipper, which allows for easy removal and washing according to the instructions on the care label. This makes it easier to maintain sleep hygiene, mattress freshness, and long-lasting comfort of use.

Safety of mattress foams This section presents the safety of foams used in the Osaka Air foam mattress, their origin, transparent parameters, certificates, and the high quality of materials used by ONSEN.

07
Introduction to the feature: safety of foams in the Osaka Air mattress

For the production of the Osaka Air mattress, we use proven highly elastic HR foams and thermoelastic V foam from renowned manufacturers. These are safe materials with transparent technical parameters, allowing you to consciously evaluate the quality, durability, and functionality of the mattress.

Expand

Why are the foams in the Osaka Air mattress safe and transparent? This expanded section describes the safety of foams in the Osaka Air mattress, the origin of substrates, the quality of HR and V foams, transparency of parameters, HR30100, V50075, HR35120, and HR50160 designations, and ONSEN's objection to hiding technical data of mattresses.

The substrates for the production of foams used by ONSEN® come primarily from BASF Germany, one of the most respected manufacturers of chemical raw materials in the world. We choose proven, repeatable, and safe materials because the quality of foams has a direct impact on the comfort, durability, and hygiene of sleep.

For the production of the Osaka Air mattress, we exclusively use highly elastic and thermoelastic foams that meet high quality requirements. The foaming process takes place in Poland, with the exception of the red highly elastic foam imported from Germany. This gives us control over the quality, repeatability, and safety of the materials.

While polyurethane foams with lower parameters could be a cheaper alternative, they do not meet ONSEN® standards. That is why the Osaka Air mattress is not the cheapest mattress on the market, but it is a smart choice for people who want to pay for real quality, not for middlemen's margins.

The development of the Osaka Air mattress took several years. During this time, we utilized the knowledge of specialists in ergonomics, physiotherapy, orthopedics, neurology, psychology, and materials technology. The goal was to create the best mattress, one that not only looks good in the description but actually does its job during sleep.

After years of testing prototypes, we developed a layout of four foam layers that provides stable support, elasticity, pressure point reduction, and high breathability. Thanks to this, the Osaka Air foam mattress combines the comfort of contouring with safety of use and the freedom to change positions.

We have nothing to hide, which is why we do not use incomprehensible trade names that make it difficult for customers to assess the quality of the mattress. Instead, we provide specific foam designations, such as HR30100, V50075, HR35120, and HR50160. This allows you to better understand what the Osaka Air mattress is truly made of.

For example, the lowest layer of the Osaka Air mattress is 10 centimeters thick and is made of open-cell highly elastic HR50160 foam. This designation indicates a density of approximately 50 kg/m³ and a firmness of approximately 160 N, which are crucial parameters for stability, durability, and the quality of support.

We oppose hiding the physical parameters of foams used in mattresses. We believe that the customer has the right to know what materials are used to make the product they will sleep on for many years. That is why ONSEN® consistently focuses on transparency, safety, and responsible communication instead of marketing names devoid of real substance.

A mattress for sleeping in any position This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a universal mattress for sleeping on the side, back, and stomach, with a firmness of approximately 6.5/10 and medium-firm support.

08
Introduction to the feature: the Osaka Air mattress for sleeping in any position

The Osaka Air foam mattress has a universal firmness of approximately 6.5/10, ensuring comfortable sleep on the side, back, and stomach. It is a medium-firm bedroom mattress that combines stable spinal support, elasticity, and the freedom to change positions during sleep.

Expand
Why is the Osaka Air suitable for the side, back, and stomach? This expanded section describes why the Osaka Air mattress works well when sleeping on the side, back, and stomach. It explains the importance of the 6.5/10 firmness, the limitations of the H1-H4 scale, the lack of standardization in mattress firmness ratings, and ONSEN's approach to national standards.

In Poland, mattress firmness ratings such as H1, H2, H3, H4, and sometimes even H5, are still widely used. The problem is that this scale has no uniform standardization. This means that an H3 mattress from one manufacturer can be completely different from an H3 mattress from another brand.

At ONSEN®, we believe that mattress firmness should be described more precisely than just with an H symbol. That is why we also use a numerical scale and the physical parameters of the foams, because these are what truly affect support, elasticity, durability, and the feeling of comfort during sleep.

However, assuming that the H3 designation means a medium-firm mattress, the Osaka Air is a true H3 mattress. But this does not mean it will be the same as every H3 mattress a customer knows from another store. The lack of common standards makes comparing just the H1-H4 symbols misleading.

Therefore, ONSEN® consistently points out the need to create national standards for grading mattress firmness. Customers should be able to fairly compare products, rather than base their decision on imprecise symbols that every manufacturer can interpret differently.

A key factor when choosing a mattress should not only be the user's weight, but also their preferred sleep position. Pressure is distributed differently when sleeping on the side, differently on the back, and yet differently on the stomach. A good mattress should support the body in each of these positions.

The traditional H1-H4 scale often suggests that lighter people should choose softer mattresses, and heavier people firmer ones. However, this is an oversimplification. For the spine, what matters most is stable, elastic, and even support that helps reduce points of excessive pressure.

The Osaka Air mattress has a firmness of approximately 6.5/10, providing a medium-firm feel. This level of firmness strikes a balance between comfortable contouring and stable body support. As a result, the Osaka Air mattress works perfectly as a mattress for sleeping on the side, back, and stomach.

When sleeping on the side, a mattress should relieve pressure on the shoulders and hips. When sleeping on the back, it should stabilize the lumbar region. When sleeping on the stomach, it should prevent excessive sinking of the pelvis. The Osaka Air was designed by specialists to support these needs in one universal model.

That is why when choosing the Osaka Air foam mattress, you do not have to look for a separate mattress for each sleep position. You get a medium-firm, elastic, and breathable bedroom mattress that supports freedom to change positions, stable spinal support, and comfortable regeneration all night long.

Mattress for allergy sufferers This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a mattress for allergy sufferers, made of hypoallergenic foams and materials that support a hygienic sleep environment.

Why is the Osaka Air a good mattress for allergy sufferers? This expanded section describes why the Osaka Air mattress is a good choice for allergy sufferers. It explains the importance of hypoallergenic foams, a breathable design, a removable cover, CURE™ technology, the absence of natural organic inserts, and easier maintenance of sleep hygiene.

In the production process of the Osaka Air mattress, we use exclusively proven foams and textile materials that have been selected with safety, durability, and sleep hygiene in mind. This is especially important for allergy sufferers, people with sensitive skin, and users who expect a clean and breathable recovery environment.

All layers of the Osaka Air mattress are made of foams with an open-cell structure, which supports airflow and helps limit moisture accumulation. This makes the mattress easier to keep in hygienic conditions, and its interior does not promote overheating or retaining excess heat.

The cover for the Osaka Air mattress is hypoallergenic, elastic, and easy to keep clean. It can be removed and washed according to the instructions on the care label, which helps remove impurities, dust, sweat, pollen, and other factors that can worsen the sleep comfort of people sensitive to allergens.

Unlike mattresses with natural organic inserts, the Osaka Air mattress does not contain straw, buckwheat, coconut, or other plant-based materials, which have a porous structure. Such components can absorb moisture over time, crumble, or create an environment that is less predictable in terms of hygiene.

The lack of organic fillings in the mattress core means a lower risk of problems typical for some natural inserts, such as the development of microorganisms, mold, or insects. The Osaka Air mattress is based on modern foams that are stable, breathable, and easier to quality control.

Spring mattresses and constructions with numerous closed spaces can make it difficult to maintain even hygiene and breathability. In the Osaka Air mattress, we used highly elastic HR foams, thermoelastic foam placed in the second layer, ventilation channels, and Aero 3D mesh, all of which support a fresher sleep microclimate.

For those expecting even greater support for sleep hygiene, the CURE™ cover is available. The CURE™ technology uses nanocapsules with probiotics that help neutralize allergens and support a cleaner sleep environment, which is especially important for allergy sufferers and people sensitive to house dust mites.

That is why the Osaka Air foam mattress is a good choice for people looking for a mattress for allergy sufferers, a hypoallergenic mattress, or a breathable mattress for everyday sleep. It combines safe materials, easier care, high ventilation, and the option to choose the CURE™ cover, supporting healthy and hygienic rest.

Non-rolled mattress This section presents the Osaka Air foam mattress as a non-rolled mattress, packaged without compression and folded into a horseshoe shape right before shipping to protect the foam structure and product durability.

10
Introduction to the feature: non-rolled Osaka Air mattress

At ONSEN®, we never roll the Osaka Air mattresses. Instead, we fold them into a horseshoe shape and pack them right before shipping. This protects the foam structure, minimizes the risk of permanent deformation, and ensures the mattress retains its full functionality from the very first use.

Expand
Why don't we roll the Osaka Air mattress? This section describes why the Osaka Air mattress is not rolled or compressed before shipping. It explains the impact of rolling on foam cells, mattress durability, its height, shape recovery, and the advantage of horseshoe folding right before delivery.

Many customers ask not only which mattress to choose but also why a mattress should not be heavily compressed and rolled before shipping. The answer is simple: such packaging can degrade the quality of the mattress, weaken the foam structure, and shorten its actual lifespan.

A mattress that remains compressed and rolled in a box for a long time is subjected to excessive mechanical stress. Polyurethane foams, even of high quality, have a cellular structure that should not be kept in an extremely compressed state for days or weeks.

In practice, excessive compression can lead to the damage of some foam cells, a deterioration of its resilience, and a weaker recovery to its original shape. That is why some rolled mattresses take a long time to regain their height after unpacking, and sometimes remain too flat or uneven.

The problem stems from the fact that the machines used for rolling mattresses apply a massive amount of pressure. For the manufacturer, such packaging is logistically convenient because it reduces the volume of the shipment. For the user, however, it can mean a compromise in terms of durability, stability, and support quality.

The Osaka Air foam mattress was designed to be a durable, breathable, and highly functional product, which is why we refuse to damage its structure at the packaging stage. At ONSEN®, we choose a safer solution for the foams: a mattress folded into a horseshoe shape, rather than heavily compressed and rolled.

We pack the Osaka Air right before shipping. Thanks to this, the mattress does not spend a long time in a state of extreme compression, and its layers retain their proper resilience, height, and working capability. This is crucial for sleep comfort, spinal support, and the long lifespan of the mattress core.

Unlike many rolled mattresses, the Osaka Air mattress can be used almost immediately after taking it out of the packaging. You do not have to wait hours or days for the mattress to regain its proper shape because it has not been subjected to an aggressive compression process.

This type of packaging also facilitates the safe storage of the mattress before unboxing. Thanks to the high-quality foams and the lack of rolling, the Osaka Air mattress can retain its properties even if it remains in its packaging for some time. This is yet another example of ONSEN® choosing solutions that are beneficial for the user, rather than solely convenient for logistics.

An unapologetically perfect mattress.
Osaka Air.

Do I need to buy a mattress protector?

Many customers ask us whether a mattress protector is a condition for maintaining the warranty or for returns. Such information is often given by mattress sellers in most brick-and-mortar stores. However, this is not necessary with us.
Read more

Our Osaka Air mattress is equipped with a multidirectional elastic cover with a weight of 550 g/m², and the core of the mattress has additional protective material. This provides sufficient protection for the mattress during normal use.

To adequately protect the Osaka Air mattress from minor stains, a regular bed sheet is sufficient. A special mattress protector is only recommended in truly specific situations, such as sleeping with a child or pets. In most cases, a mattress protector reduces sleep comfort.

Do I need to buy a special bed frame for the mattress?

No, that really makes no sense. While in some stores the choice of a specific bed base may be a condition for keeping the warranty, with us you don’t have to worry about that. We are brutally honest and never impose any artificial restrictions.
Read more

The Osaka Air mattress we designed is fully universal. It works perfectly on flexible, rigid, or electric bases. You can also easily use it on pallets or continental beds—it all depends on your preference. The key point is that the surface should be stable and even, which allows you to take full advantage of its properties.

It is only worth making sure that the bed base has enough slats and that the gaps between them are small. This way, the Osaka Air mattress will have proper ventilation and solid support. In turn, this ensures not only comfortable sleep but also good hygiene and long-lasting durability of the product.

Do you need to flip the mattress to the other side?

We clearly state that flipping a mattress to the other side is simply absurd. Once you've found your ideal mattress, there's no reason to change its firmness and other functions.
Read more

Specialists worldwide know that the best mattress must have a layered construction, resembling a cake. Each layer has its purpose, responsible for specific mattress functionalities, which is why its placement cannot be changed. The rule is that the upper layers of the mattress are designed to provide comfort and body support, while the lower layers stabilize the entire structure and enhance durability.

Although it's often said that flipping a mattress extends its lifespan, this is one of many myths. It should be clearly emphasized that worn-out materials won't regain their original properties just because they end up on the bottom of the mattress. ONSEN® does not use these marketing tricks, which is why the Osaka Air mattress is one-sided.

Do you roll up the Osaka Air mattress before shipping?

We are committed to ensuring that the Osaka Air mattress provides the highest sleep comfort and maximum quality, which is why we never roll it. This mattress guarantees top comfort from the very first night.
Read more

Unlike most stores and manufacturers, we do not roll the Osaka Air mattress at any time, including during transport. We fully understand that compressing and rolling mattresses can damage the foam structure, negatively affecting the mattress quality.

By delivering the mattress folded in a horseshoe shape, we maintain its optimal resilience and functionality. Moreover, in this form, the Osaka Air mattress can be stored for up to 90 days! You don’t need to rush to unpack it!

Does the mattress come with a cover?

The cover is an integral part of the Osaka Air mattress, which always arrives ready to use. We offer two types of covers to meet different needs.
Read more

PREMIUM Cover
Ideal for everyday use. It provides excellent comfort and protection for people without allergies. Made from the highest quality materials, it is fully breathable, pleasant to the touch, and easy to clean.

PUROTEX+™ Cover
Designed for those who need additional protection against allergens. It uses advanced HeiQ Allergen Tech technology, reducing house dust mite allergens by 96.6%, cat hair allergens by 83.6%, and dog hair allergens by 76.5%. This cover creates a healthier sleeping environment.

How is it possible that this is the ideal mattress for everyone?

While many sellers believe that it is impossible to create a single mattress that suits everyone, specialists at ONSEN® have proven that not only is it possible, but it is also necessary!

The Osaka Air mattress we created is a solution that meets the expectations of almost all users, regardless of their preferences and needs. This innovative mattress was designed with various user needs in mind. Every detail of the mattress design has been perfected through the stages of research, design, prototyping, testing, and modification using the design thinking process.

The design of the iconic and widely appreciated Osaka Air foam mattress is based on an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates knowledge from orthopedics, neurology, physiotherapy, and psychology. As a result, this universal mattress provides not only comfort but also the necessary support for your body to regenerate during sleep.

How is the Osaka Air mattress different from other mattresses?

The answer lies in the innovative approach to mattress production, which requires a significant investment of time and money. Everyone deserves a comfortable and healthy sleep, and the key to that is applying interdisciplinary knowledge.

We designed our innovative Osaka Air mattress with the goal of providing maximum support and comfort. Its greatest strength is the use of open-cell foams with optimally selected density and firmness parameters, offering exceptional dynamism. Together with other elements, they form part of the air circulation system, which ensures that the ventilation of the Osaka Air mattress is extremely efficient.

So far, we haven't found any other mattress manufacturer that provides full foam specifications. However, we often encounter manufacturers who focus on producing a wide range of mattress models, which from the customer's perspective creates unnecessary informational chaos. We focused on combining the most important functionalities a mattress should provide, ensuring a balance between orthopedic support and comfort. As a result, the Osaka Air foam mattress perfectly adapts to the user's needs, increasing the amount of deep sleep and promoting body regeneration.

How long should I wait before sleeping on a new mattress?

Although it may surprise some, you can sleep on the Osaka Air mattress immediately after it is delivered. There is no reason to wait before enjoying this iconic mattress.
Read more

One of the many advantages of the Osaka Air mattress is that you can sleep on it right after delivery. Since our mattress is not compressed or rolled, it does not require extra time to fully expand in your bedroom. It’s the perfect solution for those who want to enjoy uncompromising sleep comfort on their new mattress without unnecessary waiting.

While we recommend unpacking the Osaka Air mattress as soon as it is delivered, even after 90 days of storing the mattress in its packaging, its premium quality will remain unchanged. It is ready to be used at any time, and the adaptation process is quick and hassle-free.

How to wash the covers of the Osaka Air mattress?

Regularly washing the mattress cover enhances mattress hygiene and also improves user comfort. Therefore, the cover for the Osaka Air mattress can and should be washed.
Read more

At ONSEN®, we understand that maintaining mattress hygiene is a crucial factor in prolonging its use. That’s why our innovative Osaka Air mattress comes with a removable and washable cover. It consists of two parts, which makes this task much easier.

The top and bottom parts of the cover are washed separately, with the non-slip layer on the bottom part being better suited for hand washing. More frequently, the top part of the cover is cleaned, and it can be washed at temperatures up to 40°C using standard laundry detergents.

How will the mattress be delivered to me?

Is it normal for a new mattress to feel too firm?

If your mattress feels too firm or too soft during the first few nights, don't worry! This is normal. The longer you've been sleeping on an unhealthy product, the more time your spine needs to adjust to a healthy one.
Read more

Each of our mattresses is produced no earlier than 2-3 weeks before shipping, which means that all the foams used are very fresh. While they are seasoned, they may need time during normal use to reach their final firmness and elasticity.

After 30 nights of use, the Osaka Air mattress will reach its proper firmness and resilience. It’s important to give yourself time to adapt and allow the mattress to adjust to your body, while your body also adjusts to the mattress. This will ensure optimal sleep comfort in the long term.

What is the firmness level of the Osaka Air mattress?

We designed the Osaka Air mattress to meet the needs of side and back sleepers, as well as most stomach sleepers. Its optimal firmness makes it suitable for everyone.

Through extensive research, we have achieved the ideal firmness level, which corresponds to a firmness rating of 6.5 on the American ten-point mattress firmness scale. The functional Osaka Air mattress strikes the perfect balance between stable support and comfort, providing users with unparalleled experiences.

The thoughtful construction allows the Osaka Air mattress to contour to the user's body by dynamically adapting to its natural curves. For this reason, it is recommended for both side and back sleepers, as well as stomach sleepers, with the exception of a small portion of young, slim, athletic individuals who may require a slightly firmer mattress. Its layered structure enables even weight distribution, ensuring that the mattress is neither too firm nor too soft.

A description encouraging the choice of the Osaka Air mattress as the best foam mattress for people seeking comfort, spinal support, and the ability to test it at home for 100 days.
Your curiosity has led you to a place where you no longer have to settle for a random mattress. Before you is the Osaka Air foam mattress - an original ONSEN® design, created for those who are looking for the best sleeping mattress for themselves or their loved ones. It is a combination of ergonomic support, high breathability, durable foams, and comfort that you can test in your own bedroom. Order the Osaka Air mattress and test it for 100 days to see how a truly well-designed mattress should perform.

Buy the Osaka Air mattress designed for demanding and reasonable people This section describes the ONSEN brand Osaka Air foam mattress as a medium-firm sleeping mattress, designed for demanding users, with a firmness of 6.5/10, ergonomic spinal support, high breathability, a 100-day return policy, and a multi-year warranty.

The Osaka Air is an innovative medium-firm foam mattress, designed and manufactured by the Polish brand ONSEN® from Toruń. It is a mattress created for people who do not want to choose a random product, but are looking for a reasonable, durable, and ergonomic sleeping mattress. The Osaka Air is characterized by a firmness of approximately 6.5/10 according to the 10-point American mattress firmness scale we use. Assuming that H3 means a medium-firm mattress, it can be described as a true H3 mattress. However, it is important to remember that the Polish H1-H4 scale has no standardization, so an H3 mattress from one manufacturer can clearly differ from an H3 mattress from another brand.

Our functional Osaka Air mattress was designed to maximize sleep comfort, provide stable body support, and keep the spine in the most physiological position possible. The layered mattress construction is no coincidence. Each layer performs a specific task, in accordance with the jobs to be done approach, to respond to the real needs of users: comfort, breathability, pressure point reduction, freedom to change positions, and durability over many years of use.

ONSEN® uses high-quality materials sourced from verified European suppliers. The foams and textiles we use meet rigorous quality requirements, including standards related to safety and production repeatability. The polyurethane foams have the CertiPUR safety certificate, and the textiles we use meet Oeko-Tex standards. Thanks to this, the Osaka Air is a mattress made of materials selected not only for comfort but also for the safety of everyday use.

The production process of every Osaka Air foam mattress, which takes place in Poland, is subject to quality control, allowing us to maintain manufacturing repeatability and reduce the risk of defects. We ensure that every piece meets ONSEN® standards, because a mattress is a product the user is in contact with for many hours every night. That is exactly why the Osaka Air was created for demanding, conscious, and reasonable people who expect more than marketing promises.

We primarily conduct direct sales, which allows us to eliminate middlemen costs, furniture store margins, and markups typical for many mattress stores. As a result, we can offer a premium mattress at a fair price, with a very good price-to-quality ratio. The Osaka Air is a true smart choice for people who want to pay for real quality, functionality, and durability, rather than multi-level distribution.

It is worth noting that ONSEN® products, including mattresses, orthopedic pillows, bedding, and ergonomic furniture, are covered by a multi-year manufacturer's warranty. In the case of the Osaka Air mattress core, the warranty is as long as 15 years. Additionally, a customer buying directly in the ONSEN® online store can take advantage of the option to return the mattress for up to 100 days from delivery. This allows you to test the mattress in natural conditions, in your own bedroom, without pressure from a salesperson and without the risk of a bad decision.
For these questions,
the answer is
YES!
+

Do I really have 100 days to return the mattress?

Yes! ONSEN® is a Polish brand that cares about its customers. That's why you can test our best mattress, Osaka Air, in the privacy of your own bedroom for 100 days without any restrictions. If you decide it's not the mattress for you, you can return it to us, and we will refund you the full amount paid.
+

Is Osaka Air a viscoelastic mattress?

Yes and no. A traditional memory foam mattress has a top layer of memory foam, which causes a sinking effect into the mattress. This results in overheating and sweating of the body, but also limits the ability to change sleep positions. Additionally, memory foam mattresses typically do not provide proper spinal support. Therefore, our Osaka Air mattress features visco foam, but in the second layer. This allows for the benefits of this type of foam while eliminating its drawbacks.

+

Is Osaka Air the best mattress?

Yes! Osaka Air is the most functional mattress that optimally combines firmness, density, and layer thickness, providing excellent support for the entire body. It's a universal choice that works for any user, regardless of weight or body type. It is designed to support the natural curves of the body and reduce muscle tension. Every body needs even pressure distribution, and differences in the number of support points mean that the final load on the mattress is very similar. Osaka Air proves that mattress firmness should not be chosen according to body weight, but according to ergonomic principles of healthy sleep. Choose a mattress that ensures comfort and regeneration every night!
